Appliance Repair College Station FAQs
Appliance problems don’t come with instruction manuals—and we get a lot of questions once things stop working. At D3S, we believe smart service starts with clear answers. These FAQs are here to help you make confident decisions when scheduling appliance repair College Station services.
Can I Use My Appliance While I Wait for the Repair?
In most cases, we recommend holding off on using a malfunctioning appliance until it’s been checked by a technician. Continuing to use it could make the issue worse—or even create a safety risk. Here’s why:
-
Dryers with heating issues can overheat and become a fire hazard.
-
Leaking dishwashers or washers can cause water damage or mold.
-
Refrigerators running inefficiently can stress the compressor and lead to more costly repairs.
-
Ovens with faulty thermostats can overcook or undercook food and pose burn risks.
Will the Technician Have the Parts Needed to Fix My Appliance on the Spot?
Our trucks are stocked with parts for the most common repairs, which often means same-day fixes.
We carry components for popular brands like Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, and more
For specialty or rare parts, we’ll order them fast and return as soon as they arrive
We’ll always give you a clear timeline so you know exactly what to expect.
Why Is My Appliance Making Loud or Strange Noises?
Unusual noises are often your appliance’s way of warning you that something’s not right. While some sounds are harmless, others could point to worn or failing components that need attention. Here’s what those noises might mean:
Grinding or squealing in dryers or washers could mean a worn belt, faulty motor, or damaged drum bearings.
Buzzing or clicking in refrigerators might be linked to the compressor, evaporator fan, or a failing start relay.
Rattling or banging in dishwashers or ovens can result from loose panels, broken mounts, or a faulty circulation pump.
Popping or cracking could be related to thermal expansion—normal in some cases, but worth checking if it’s frequent or loud.
The bottom line: if your appliance sounds different than usual, it’s best to get it checked.

Long story short, after dealing with a very slow and incompetent local repairman, our fridge was STILL not fixed after a month and a half. We requested a new repairman through LG, and they assigned D3S to our job. Within two days, Jason from D3S was at my door to reassess the fridge.
The appliance repair technician was extremely helpful and accommodating. He has been extremely responsive every time he has returned to help with our washer repair. This is through no fault of theirs, our washer is just a problem child. However, the technician does a wonderful job each and every time. He has never returned for the same issue always fixed correctly the first time.
I highly recommend D3S Services! I purchased an electric range that gave us problems from the very beginning, me and my wife just wanted a replace or a refund! That was until D3s services came out! I can’t remember the technicians name, but he was great!
Jason was very professional and knowledgeable. It took him maybe 10 minutes to diagnose cause of the problem with refrigerator. ( Tech from another company had made two trips previously and not corrected issue)
Very professional company. I would highly recommend time and time again. Speaking with the manager Carly, she was very very helpful and knowledgeable. They fixed my dishwasher. Carly followed up with a phone to make sure everything was operating. Thank you Carly! I could only leave 5 stars but I'd leave 20 if I had the option.
